Josef Holzer (born October 9, 1842 in Gersdorf , Carinthia; † June 29, 1895 there ) was a member of the Austrian House of Representatives .

Life

Josef Holzer was the son of the farmer of the same name, Josef Holzer († 1878). He was a landowner ( commonly known as Lampl) in Gersdorf.

He was a Roman Catholic and had been married to Anna Moser since 1875, with whom he had five sons and three daughters.

Political functions

From 1878 to 1889 he was a member of the Carinthian state parliament ( 5th and 6th electoral terms ) and responsible for the electoral class rural communities ( St. Veit , Friesach , Gurk , Althofen , Eberstein ).

From November 4, 1873 to May 22, 1879, he was a member of the House of Representatives in the Reichsrat ( 5th legislative period ), Crown Land Carinthia, Curia Landgemeinden 2 , Sankt Veit , Friesach , Gurk , Eberstein , Althofen , Wolfsberg , St. Leonhard , St. Paul .
