Josef Kloppenburg (born September 27, 1954 in Paderborn ) is a German musicologist and music teacher .

Life

Josef Kloppenburg was a choirboy and soloist (responsory singer) in the cathedral choir in Paderborn, graduated from the Staatlichen Altsprachliche Gymnasium Theodorianum Paderborn in 1973 and studied after his community service from 1975 at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Detmold school music. He continued his school music studies at the Berlin University of the Arts and studied musicology at the Technical University of Berlin and sports at the Free University of Berlin . He passed the school music examination in 1979 and the first state examination in 1982 and the second state examination in 1988 for teaching at grammar schools, each with a grade of good. Kloppenburg received his doctorate from the Technical University of Berlin in 1985 with a dissertation on film music in films by Alfred Hitchcock with the grade very good (first report: Helga de la Motte-Haber , second report : Carl Dahlhaus). From 1986 to 1988 he was a trainee lawyer in Berlin and from 1988 to 1994 he taught as a teacher at the Fritz-Karsen-Gesamtschule in Berlin-Neukölln . At the same time he was a lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts, at the University of Greifswald and at the Technical University of Braunschweig, where he completed his habilitation in 2001 with a thesis on pedagogical music as an aesthetic concept. In 1994 he accepted a professorship for music at the Karlsruhe University of Education . From 1999 to 2004 he was head of the Academic Examination Office at the Karlsruhe University of Education. He exercises extensive expertise and a. for the German Research Foundation and the Acquin evaluation agency. In 2016/2017 Kloppenburg was President of the Rotary Club Karlsruhe.
