criticism

In June 2015, various media published that Muchitsch lived in a social housing apartment in Vienna's eighth district, Josefstadt , owned by the non-profit property developer Sozialbau im, which , according to an article in the daily Die Presse , he got without being on the waiting list and without a main residence in Vienna. However, this was legally in order. Muchitsch paid a rent of 285.99 euros for the apartment, including operating costs. According to his own statement, his salary at the time was a total of 8,806 euros net, from which, however, various party taxes would be deducted, most of which he could deduct from income tax. When asked by the press whether he saw himself in an emergency situation similar to that of an unemployed young person when looking for a flat, he replied: “I have a wife and three children. I'm sure I'm not paying a thousand euros for an apartment. ”As a result of public criticism, Muchitsch announced that he would terminate his cheap lease.
