Josef Pfeiffer
Josef Pfeiffer (born November 8, 1920 in Leutenbach near Neumarkt; † May 2, 2011 in the hospital of the Holy Spirit Monastery in Eichstätt ) was Vicar General of the Diocese of Eichstätt from 1968 to 1989 .
Life
Josef Pfeiffer received on June 29, 1950 by Joseph Schröffer in Eichstatt Dom the priesthood and was subsequently first chaplain in Pleinfeld and White Castle . This was followed in 1955 by a pastor's position in Weißenburg and from 1956 he was dean of the dean's office in Ellingen. In 1966 he became a member of the Eichstätter cathedral chapter , whose chairmanship he accepted as provost in 1983, and he was entrusted with the management of the Episcopal Pastoral Office.
Bishop Alois Brems appointed him vicar general of the diocese of Eichstätt on June 15, 1968. His successor, Bishop Karl Braun, also appointed him his vicar general. In 1989 Johann Limbacher became his successor.
