Josef "Bäff" Piendl

Josef Piendl ( pseudonym: Bäff , * 1964 in Roding ) is a humorist from the Upper Palatinate , who among other things became known nationwide as a wedding loader through Gstanzlsingen .

In 2008 he received the BLM radio award in the “Promotion and Advertising” category for a series of radio spots about wheat beer from the Jacob brewery ( Bodenwöhr ).

Career / career as "Bäff"

Josef "Bäff" Piendl gained his first stage experience at theater events of the local youth group. After he drew attention to himself at a private party by singing Gstanzln, and was consequently used as a wedding loader at over 400 weddings, his career as a humorist began. This was followed by solo appearances in festival tents, at company anniversaries, at Gstanzl singer meetings and various kinds of stage appearances.

As a Gstanzl singer he was 5 times Holledauer Gstanzlkönig, 3 times Holledauer Vice-Gstanzlkönig and 1st winner at Ehekirchener Preisgstanzlsingen. He published CDs , wrote books and had radio and television appearances, including at Grünwald Friday Comedy , Die Gruber and " Quer ".

As a full-time humorist , Gstanzl singer , songwriter , entertainer and presenter, Josef Piendl ensures the mood and an entertaining evening on various occasions with his dry, Bavarian humor. With his solo programs he can be seen regularly regionally and nationally on stage.

In 2008 Piendl received the BLM Radio Prize for the best contribution in the advertising and promotion category, was five times Holledauer Gstanzlkönig in the Weißbierstadl in Abensberg (1994/1995/1998/2000/2001), three times Holledauer Vice Gstanzlkönig ( 1992, 1996 and 2003), 1st winner at Ehekirchener Preisgstanzlsingen (1991) and 1999 Baumsteftenlenz - Schnodahüpflkönig.

In 2014 Josef "Bäff" Piendl was awarded the "Schauer" cultural prize for his outstanding contribution to culture in the region.
