Josef Spichtinger

Josef Spichtinger (born July 8, 1926 in Winklarn ; † January 8, 1996 ) was a German local politician .

Career

Spichtinger was a government inspector at the Oberviechtach district office . After the death of Josef Zwick , he was elected to the district administrator of the district of Oberviechtach on July 7, 1968 on the election proposal of the CSU . He remained in office until the district was dissolved in the course of the district reform on July 1, 1972. From 1970 he was also a member of the Upper Palatinate District Assembly .

Honors

On October 17, 1971 he received honorary citizenship of the city of Oberviechtach . He was also an honorary citizen of Winklarn .

Spichtinger was Vice President of the Upper Palatinate Cultural Association and was made an honorary member there. He was also a board member of the Oberpfälzer Waldverein and founding board member of the Oberviechtach branch association. After his death, the previous head of the women's group and treasurer Emma Schießl took over the office of chairwoman of the Oberviechtach branch, who was honored in 2018 with the decoration of the Bavarian Prime Minister . In 1989 he founded a GmbH to build and operate the Oberviechtach nursing home. He was also an honorary member of the Oberviechtach Kolping marching band since 1975 .

The Josef-Spichtinger-Weg promenade in Oberviechtach is named after Spichtinger .
