Publications

The arnica

"The Arnika" is the journal of the Upper Palatinate Forest Association. It appeared for the first time at Easter 1924 with the title “Oberpfälzer Wald. Messages from the Upper Palatinate Forest Association ”as a supplement to the“ Die Oberpfalz ”magazine. At the end of 1939, the "Oberpfälzer Wald" stopped its publication. The chairman of the board, Dr. Since the 1960s, Adolf Schuster has been committed to creating a new newsletter. At the beginning of 1964 there was again a club magazine in the form of a picture magazine. However, the demand was so low that no second issue was published. On January 25, 1964, the subject was taken up again at a working meeting in Weiden and it was decided to make another attempt. From 1965 onwards, the new club magazine with the title “Oberpfälzer Wald und Steinwald” appeared as a quarterly publication.

The leaf remained in this form until September 1968, when it was renamed “Die Arnika”. Since 2015, “Die Arnika” has been published in multiple colors.
