hiking trail

The Wallenstein-Tilly-Weg is a 93 km long hiking trail in Northern Bavaria , which is maintained by the Upper Palatinate Forest Association . It begins in Pruihausen in the west of the Upper Palatinate, where the Albquerweg of the Franconian Alb Association , coming from Nuremberg , ends. The path then leads in a west-east direction when crossing the Vils and Naab valleys through quiet forests and the promising mountainous landscape of the nature park region between Waldnaab and Bohemian Forest to Tillyschanz near Eslarn on the Czech border. Cultural highlights such as the city of Vilseck , the 900-year-old Luhe market and the mighty festival castle Leuchtenberg are also touched.
