Joseph Bauer (politician, 1880)

Joseph Bauer (born April 1, 1880 in Matzöd , † March 22, 1954 in Munich ) was a German farmer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Bauer attended the elementary school in Dietersburg from 1886 to 1889 , and the Fürstenstein educational institute from 1889/90 , receiving lessons in the 1st Latin class, then the 2nd and 3rd class of the Latin school in Passau . After that, because of the death of his only brother, he had to give up his studies in order to devote himself to agriculture. In 1905 he took over his parents' property, which comprised 120 days of basic work .

From 1898 to 1900 he served in the 9th Battery of the 1st Field Artillery Regiment "Prince Regent Luitpold" of the Bavarian Army in Munich.

He is a member of the district council, the tax committee at the Königlichen Rentamte Pfarrkirchen as well as the agricultural district committee in Pfarrkirchen . He was also a board member of the Dietersburg Loan Association and several non-profit associations. He wrote the text for the operetta Der Schwur des Kreuzhofbauern from 1924.

From 1912 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Lower Bavaria 4 ( Pfarrkirchen , Eggenfelden , Griesbach ).
