Joseph Dammann

Joseph "Joe" Dammann (born March 11, 1977 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actor . He was best known for his leading role as Nicholas Martin in McGee and Me! . His sister Sarah , who is around three years older than him , also played a leading role in McGee and Me! .

Life

Joe Dammann first appeared in an episode of Frank Lupo's short-lived television series The Werewolf Returns in 1987 . A year later, he played a boy in the library in the first episode of Season Three . After another brief appearance in the soap opera Wonderful Years in 1989, he made it into the cast of the Christian partly animated television series McGee and Me! where he took on the lead role of Nicholas Martin . As a result of this role, his fame rose, especially in his home country. Although he enjoyed national fame through this series, in which he was used in all episodes produced, he did not manage to continue his successes afterwards. At the presentation of the Young Artist Awards in 1993 , Dammann was nominated for a Young Artist Award in the category “Outstanding Performers in a Childrens Program”, but could not prevail against Elisabeth Harnois , who accepted the award for her work on Adventures in Wonderland . During the production of McGee and Me! In 1990 Dammann could only appear on William Bickley's and Michael Warren's short-lived sitcom Where's Burning, Daddy? record; after that it was largely quiet around the child actor. In 1994 he was nominated for a YAA in the category “Outstanding Youth Mini-Video Series” together with his sister and the other actors Chelsea Hertford , Whit Hertford and Shaylisa Hurte .

After his time as an actor, he attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts ( UNCSA for short ) from 1995 , which he successfully completed in 1999 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in the field of "Filmmaking". Before that, he attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts ( LACHSA for short ) from 1992 to 1995 . After graduating from university, he got a few small engagements, mainly in the advertising sector. Joe Dammann, who was born and raised in Los Angeles, was active in a beer commercial for the Miller Brewing Company , which was broadcast during the NFL play-offs, among other things . He is also said to have starred in a nationwide ad that was broadcast during a Super Bowl . He is also said to have worked on a pilot entitled On Pico , which was intended for cable television, but never made a subsequent series. Dammann was also active behind the camera, working on various reality TV formats such as the US original version of The Bachelor in post-production . Today (as of November 2013) Dammann lives in Santa Barbara and has been Operational Manager at Santa Barbara Hot Rod Limo since March 2013 . Shortly after completing his studies, the former young actor worked from October 1999 to August 2000 in the catering department of the Italian specialty restaurant Maria's Italian Kitchen in Encino , California. After that, he was, as mentioned earlier, from 2001 to 2009 at the post-production area, inter alia as Head logger, Transcriber or Assistant Story Editor in productions like the original version of The Bachelor , Project Runway , Trading Spaces and It's Me or the Dog with Victoria Stilwell . Until November 2011, he was primarily responsible for water sports activities and the safety of hotel guests. In March 2013 he came to the Santa Barbara Hot Rod Limo company , where he has since worked primarily as a chauffeur and drives tourists through Santa Barbara and Montecito in a 1927 Ford Model T - Hod Rod limousine .
