Archbishop Joseph Perumthottam

Joseph Perumthottam (born July 5, 1948 in Punnathura , India ) is an Indian clergyman and Syro-Malabar Archbishop of Changanacherry .

Life

Joseph Perumthottam received on 18 December 1974, the sacrament of Holy Orders for the archeparchy Changanacherry.

On 24 April 2002 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Thucca in Numidia and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Changanacherry. The Archbishop of Changanacherry, Joseph Powathil , ordained him episcopal on May 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Tellicherry , George Valiamattam , and the Bishop of Palai , Joseph Pallikaparampil . On January 22, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Archbishop of Changanacherry.
