Joseph Robert Crowley

Joseph Robert Crowley (born January 12, 1915 in Fort Wayne , † February 4, 2003 in South Bend ) was Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Fort Wayne-South Bend .

Life

The Bishop of Fort Wayne, John Francis Noll , ordained him a priest on May 1, 1953 . Pope Paul VI appointed him on June 16, 1971 auxiliary bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend and titular bishop of Maraguia .

The Archbishop of Indianapolis , George Joseph Biskup , ordained him bishop on August 24 of that year ; Co- consecrators were Leo Aloysius Pursley , Bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend, and Andrew Gregory Grutka , Bishop of Gary .

On May 8, 1990, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
