Joseph Shikongo
Joseph Shipandeni Shikongo OMI (born July 8, 1948 in Tyeye , South West Africa , today Namibia ) is Vicar Apostolic of Rundu .
Life
Shikongo joined the Order of the Oblates (OMI) and was ordained a priest on December 20, 1980 . Pope John Paul II appointed him on March 14, 1994 Vicar Apostolic of Rundu and Titular Bishop of Capra .
The Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Cardinal Jozef Tomko , ordained him episcopal on May 22nd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Bonifatius Hausiku ICP , Archbishop of Windhoek , and Ambrose Battista De Paoli , Apostolic Delegate in South Africa , Namibia and Botswana , Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Lesotho and Apostolic Nuncio in Swaziland .
