Joseph Thürmer
Joseph Thürmer (born November 3, 1789 in Munich ; † November 13, 1833 there ) was a German architect , draftsman and etcher.
He was a student of Karl von Fischer in Munich. From 1827 he was a professor at the Academy in Dresden . In 1830 he designed the Palais Lüttichau . From 1831 to 1833 he was in charge of building the Old Town Guard according to plans by Karl Friedrich Schinkel . Between 1830 and 1832 Thürmer designed the front side of the Royal Marstall and managed the expansion of the building to Stallstrasse. In 1832 he built the Schöne Höhe , the Belvedere in Dittersbach . From 1830 to 1832 he directed the construction work in the redesign of the facade of the post office building betweenPostplatz and Antonsplatz based on plans by Geutebrück.
