Joseph von Hartmann

Joseph Hermann Bernhard Hartmann , von Hartmann since 1803 (born January 15, 1780 in Paderborn , † February 1, 1859 in Heiligenstadt ) was a Prussian district administrator .

Life

Joseph was the son of the Prussian government and court councilor Georg Anton von Hartmann (1751-1819) and his wife Bernhardine, née von Pein (1752-1837). His father was raised to the hereditary Prussian nobility on July 10, 1803 .

Hartmann entered the civil service on August 4, 1803. In 1808 he was justice of the peace of the canton of Fürstenberg and in 1815 moved as an assessor to the regional and municipal court of Büren. On April 8, 1817 - subject to the successfully passed examination - he was appointed district administrator of the Büren district. He remained in this office until August 14, 1843 (after his application for dismissal). In recognition of his services, Hartmann had the Order of the Red Eagle III. Class received with a bow.

He married Bernhardine von Hamm (1787–1867) on June 10, 1806. This marriage resulted in seven children, including the later Prussian infantry general Ernst von Hartmann (1817–1883).
