The canton of Fürstenberg existed from 1807 to 1813 in the Einbeck district ( Department of the Leine , Kingdom of Westphalia ) and was formed by the Royal Decree of December 24, 1807. Fürstenberg was not affected by the restructuring for the final determination of the state of the communities in the department of the Leine on June 16, 1809.
