The canton of Einbeck (Land) existed from 1807 to 1813 in the Einbeck district ( Departements der Leine , Kingdom of Westphalia ) and was formed by the Royal Decree of December 24, 1807. The main town of the canton was the municipality of Salherdern. Einbeck Land was affected by restructuring to finally determine the state of municipalities in the department of the Leine on June 16, 1809. After this decree, the communities of Opperhausen, Odagsen and Hollenstedt were split off from the canton. The villages of Olxheim and Rittierode were added.
