Olxheim is a district of the city of Einbeck and is located northeast of the city center in a loop of the Leine . A few hundred meters northeast of the village the floodplain flows into the Leine.
history
In the Middle Ages the Lords of Woldenberg were wealthy in Olxheim. Over the centuries, the monastery of Gandersheim , Bishop Otto I , the lords of Uslar , the Marienstift Einbeck , the lords of Rauschenplat, the dukes Heinrich II. And Wilhelm II. And the Alexandristift Einbeck also had rights .
Olxheim was incorporated into the municipality of Kreiensen on March 1, 1974 . As part of this municipality, Olxheim became a town in the newly formed city of Einbeck on January 1, 2013.
