Immensen is a village and southern locality of the city of Einbeck in the Northeim district in Lower Saxony and is located on the L 572.
history
The place is first mentioned in a deed of donation from Duke Heinrich zu Braunschweig from 1497 as immense .
The village's electrical supply was set up in 1909; the water supply did not follow until 1935, with considerable effort, as it had to be pumped from a depth of around 88 meters to a storage tank at a height of 141 meters.
Immensen was incorporated into the town of Einbeck on February 1, 1971.

Culture and leisure
On the outskirts there is a golf course which, since it was converted to an 18-hole course in 2012, had what was once the longest par 5 in Europe.
