Location of Hullersen in Lower Saxony

Hullersen is a district of the city of Einbeck in Lower Saxony . The village is on the Ilme , about three kilometers west of the Einbeck town center.

history

The place name of the village developed from Huldessun at the time of Charlemagne via Huldersse , Huldershusen and Huldershausen to Hullersen.

Corvey Monastery had the right of patronage over the Church of St. Nicolai in Hullersen until 1479 and then ceded it to the Einbeck Marienstift . In 1522, the region's first Lutheran sermons were given in St. Nicolai's Church by Pastor Johann Ebbrecht from Salzwedel .

The farming village consisted of six Vollmeierhöfe (each with at least five Hufen land) around the church. The originally stately Hullers mill, which had existed for a long time, burned down in 1895 and was not replaced. From 1906 the Hullers schoolchildren could attend a local school, before that they had to go to the neighboring Kohnsen .

Hullersen was incorporated on February 1, 1971 into the district of the city of Einbeck.
