Dörrigsen is a village and southern district of the city of Einbeck in the Northeim district in Lower Saxony , which is somewhat remote from major traffic routes on Südlieth, a northern foothill of the Ahlsburg .

history

Dörrigsen was first mentioned in a document around 1254 as Dorrigesen , later also called Doringessen . In 1865 the first school building was built in the village after children had been taught in Dörrigsen since 1800. Dörrigsen was incorporated on March 1, 1974 into the district of the city of Einbeck.

Local council

The Einbeck towns of Buensen, Dörrigsen, Iber and Strodthagen elect a joint local council and local mayor. Gitta Kunzi (WG) is currently the local mayor (as of March 2019) .

Culture and sights

The sports club based in Dörrigsen is called TSV Jahn Dörrigsen. There is also the volunteer fire brigade .
