Life
Josephine Jacob is the daughter of the actress Katerina Jacob and the director Oswald Döpke and the granddaughter of the actress Ellen Schwiers . She attended the Film Academy in New York and Mastery Workshops in Vancouver, where she was trained by Ty Olsson and Linda Darfow and received voice training from Trish Allen.
Since 1998 she has played a number of roles in German television productions and in films, for example in 2001 in the comedy Mädchen Mädchen! , where she played one of the girls alongside Diana Amft , Felicitas Woll and Karoline Herfurth . In the same year, she starred as Ariane Schlag in the romantic action comedy Painfully Welcome .
A supporting role as Pretty Girl was her first engagement in Hollywood in 2002 in the action crime film Ballistic , in which Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu played the leading roles. In 2005, she starred in an episode of the American television series The L Word . In 2007 she was a guest on the NDR talk show Herman & Tietjen . Under the direction of her grandmother Ellen Schwiers, Jacob played a supporting role in each of the plays The Knight of Miracles and The Taming of the Shrew at the Burgfest in the theater in Jagsthausen .
Jacob is in a relationship with the Canadian actor Roger Cross , known from the US TV series 24 , and has two sons with him.
