Josh. (Born June 22, 1986 in Vienna ; bourgeois Johannes Sumpich ) is an Austrian musician .

He studied instrumental and vocal pedagogy , but did not finish his studies and worked as an IT technician. With singer-songwriter Kathi Kallauch duo, he won with the song No summer for a single , the radio-Wien Sommerhit election in 2016, then still under his real name. With the single Cordula Grün he achieved a summer hit in 2018 under the stage name Josh. The song was named Song of the Year at the Amadeus Awards 2019 .

His debut album Von Mädchen und Farben was released the day after the Amadeus Awards .

In May 2020 he took part in the Free European Song Contest for Austria.
