Josh Nelson (born August 1, 1978 ) is an American jazz musician ( piano , composition, also keyboard , e-piano ).

Nelson was active in the California jazz scene from the late 1990s ; At the age of 19, he released his debut album First Stories in 1998 , followed by Anticipation , which was released in 2004 and contained his own compositions. In 2000 he recorded with guitarist Mike Scott ( Good Place To Be ); in the following years he worked a. a. with the vocalists Natasha Miller , Jennifer Leitham , also with the band Cross Hart (around Ryan Cross and Lorca Hart), Evan Stone, Hitomi Oba , Pat Senatore and with Jennifer Hall . In 2007 Nelson recorded the album Let It Go , on which u. a. Seamus Blake , Anthony Wilson , Darek "Oles" Oleszkiewicz , Matt Wilson and the singer Sara Gazarek performed . In the field of jazz he was involved in 23 recording sessions between 2000 and 2016.
