Anthony Wilson (born May 9, 1968 ) is an American jazz guitarist , band leader and composer.

Live and act

The son of trumpeter and band leader Gerald Wilson won the international composition competition of the Thelonious Monk Institute in 1995 and has received numerous commissions for smaller and larger works since then. He made his debut as a bandleader in 1997 with the album Anthony Wilson , which was included in the list of the ten best albums by JazzTimes , the Philadelphia Inquirer , the Boston Herald and Jazziz . He has since released five more albums.

Wilson leads his own trio with keyboardist Joe Bagg and drummer Mark Ferber . Since 2001 he has been a member of Diana Krall's band . Her album Live In Paris , which she made while performing at the Paris Olympic Theater , was awarded a Grammy . He continued to work with musicians such as Bennie Wallace , Larry Goldings , Joe Henry , Harold Land , Chris Botti and his father, Gerald Wilson, and did live performances and recordings a. a. with Madeleine Peyroux , Al Jarreau and Aaron Neville .
