Joshua Tree , actually Benjamin Krämer (born August 4, 1986 in Hameln ) is a German author of novels in the fields of science fiction , thriller and fantasy .

biography

Joshua Tree was born in Hameln in the Weser Uplands and attended the Schiller-Gymnasium Hameln there until he graduated from high school . He then studied communication management with a focus on communication psychology at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and completed his studies with a master's degree . After several years as a lecturer at the Ludwig-Windthorst-Haus seminar center in Lingen (Ems) and as a freelance journalist and supervisor , he and his partner traveled the world for several years by motorcycle , bicycle and on foot. Today Joshua Tree lives in Cyprus and is a full-time writer.

Career as an author

Joshua Tree published his first book in 2015 under his real name Benjamin Krämer, together with his brother, the senior physician in charge of child and adolescent psychiatry Raphael Krämer, at Allegria Verlag , which belongs to the Ullstein book publishers . Unlike his later works, it was a guide in the field of life support with the title Beyond the Self. Happy with yourself and others in three steps . In April 2017, Benjamin Krämer began self-publishing under the pseudonym Joshua Tree . First the fantasy trilogy Pilgrim , like his later works, appeared exclusively on Amazon , but it was not successful. It wasn't until he published the first volume of an eight-part series called Behemoth in 2333 two months later that he achieved his breakthrough. Some works are also available as paperbacks .
