Josip Landeka (born April 28, 1987 in Offenbach am Main ) is a Croatian soccer player . He plays for the Stuttgarter Kickers .

Career

In his youth, Landeka played for Kickers Obertshausen , SG Rosenhöhe and 1. FSV Mainz 05 . In the summer of 2006, the midfielder was transferred to the Mainz team. For the 2008/09 season he moved to the Stuttgart Kickers in the 3rd division . He made his professional debut on July 26, 2008 in the 2-0 defeat of the Kickers against Wacker Burghausen , when he was substituted on in the 46th minute. For the 2009/10 season he moved to second division relegated SV Wehen Wiesbaden . In the 2010/11 season Landeka played for FC Carl Zeiss Jena , with whom he was relegated from the 3rd division in 2012 . In the summer break of 2012 Landeka signed a two-year contract with Chemnitzer FC . During the winter break of the 2013/14 season, he moved to SV Darmstadt 98 until the end of the season . Landeka went to SG Sonnenhof Großaspach for the 2014/15 season .

At the end of January 2017, Landeka switched back to the Stuttgarter Kickers after seven and a half years. After the 2017/18 season he was relegated with the Kickers from the regional league.

Landeka's cousin Iva Landeka plays in Sweden for FC Rosengård , her brother Davor Landeka is also a professional footballer and played in Switzerland and Bosnia-Herzegovina .

Others

Landeka has been involved in Show Racism the Red Card Germany since 2013 . In May he took part in a workshop organized by the educational initiative and told the students about his own experiences with racism and discrimination .
