Josip Rasic (born October 12, 1978 in Herford ) is a German football player of Croatian descent.
Career
The central defender Rasic began his career in the youth of SC Herford and then moved to Arminia Bielefeld . After the end of his youth he moved to FC Gütersloh , where he played in the 2nd Bundesliga . On March 27, 1998 Rasic was in the game at FC Carl Zeiss Jena in the starting line-up and was substituted in the 60th minute against Mike Schürmann . Mostly Rasic played in the amateur team of Gütersloh and after the bankruptcy and the dissolution of the club went to the district rivals SC Verl , who played in the third class regional league. After two years in Verl, he returned to Gütersloh and joined FC Gütersloh in 2000 , which competed in the fourth-class Oberliga Westfalen . In the 2002/03 season Rasic was third with the Güterslohern.
A year later, Rasic moved to the Regionalliga promoted Arminia Bielefeld II , where he was rarely used. After only one season, Rasic went on to city rivals VfB Fichte Bielefeld . Here he was a regular player, but could not prevent the relegation of his team as bottom of the table. A short detour to Poland to Dyskobolia Grodzisk Wielkopolski followed before Rasic joined the Westphalian league club SV Lippstadt 08 . Rasic only played there for a year and returned to East Westphalia. He moved to the regional league club Union Minden and two years later went to the district league club SV Rödinghausen , with whom he became the district league champion.
From 2010 Rasic first played for the second and third team of Rödinghausen, before ending his career in 2013.
