Juan Alberto Acosta , full name Juan Alberto Acosta Silva , (born May 8, 1957 or July 8, 1957 in Paysandú ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

Midfielder Acosta began his professional career in 1972 at Bella Vista and was part of the club until 1980. That year he moved to the Argentine club Newell's Old Boys , for whom he played 25 league games in the Primera División Metropolitano in 1981 , scoring three goals. In 1982 a career station followed at SD Aucas in Ecuador. In the 1982/83 and 1983/84 seasons he was under contract with Real Madrid . There he made his debut on September 29, 1982 in a 5-2 win in the Recopa against Baia Mare with a six-minute short stint. However, he then only played a league game for the Madrilenians in the first season (no goal). This was the encounter on December 12, 1982 against Las Palmas, when he was ordered by coach Alfredo di Stefano on the starting line-up, but was substituted for Fraile in the 64th minute of the game . In the 1983/84 season he moved to Rayo Vallecano in the Segunda División . There he was first used on January 22, 1984 against Algeciras . In the following period he completed a total of 17 league games (three goals) and two games (no goal) in the Copa de la Liga of the Segunda División by the end of the season. Finally he returned to South America and was part of the team Nacional Montevideos in 1984 , the Montevideo Wanderers in the first half of 1985 and from 1985 to 1986 the Argentine club CA Colón . In 1986 he then played for Club Atlético Peñarol , which became Uruguayan champions that year. In 1990, 1992 and 1993 he was again in the squad Bella Vistas in the Primera División . With the team of the club he won the national championship again in 1990.
