Juan Félix Pepén y Soliman , also known as: Juan F. Pepén (born January 27, 1920 in Higüey , La Altagracia Province , Dominican Republic , † July 22, 2007 in Higüey) was the first bishop of Higüey in the Dominican Republic.

Life

Juan Félix pepen y Soliman, who was born in the famous pilgrimage town of Higuey, received in on 29 June 1947 Santo Domingo , the ordination .

On April 1, 1959 he was by Pope John XXIII. appointed first bishop of the newly founded diocese of Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia en Higüey . He was ordained episcopate on May 31 of the same year by the Archbishop of Santo Domingo , Octavio Antonio Beras Rojas . Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Santiago de los Caballeros , Hugo Eduardo Polanco Brito , and the Prelate of San Juan de la Maguana , Tomás Francisco Reilly CSsR .

On May 10, 1975, Pope Paul VI took resigned from the diocese of Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia en Higüey and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Santo Domingo and titular bishop of Arpi .

On February 11, 1995, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
