Juan José Mora is one of the 14 parishes ( Municipios ) of the state of Carabobo in northern Venezuela .
According to the 2001 census, the population was 56,458.
geography
Juan José Mora is located in the northwest of Carabobos on the Caribbean coast . The Yaracuy River in the west forms the border with the state of Yaracuy , in the south it borders on the district of Bejuma and in the east on Puerto Cabello .
The area of the district is 453 km². The administrative seat of the municipality is the city of Morón .
The district can be divided into a coastal and a mountain region. On the coast it rains about 900 mm, in the mountain area between 1200 and 1500 mm annually. The region has an average annual temperature of around 27 ° C. The Morón River flows through the middle of the district.
