Juan Pablo Forero Carreño (born August 3, 1983 in Tabio , Cundinamarca ) is a former Colombian cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2002, Juan Pablo Forero won gold in the team pursuit at the Central American and Caribbean Games with Carlos Alzate , Iván Casas and Andrés Rodríguez . The following year, the Colombian foursome (with Alexander González , José Serpa and Alzate) won the team pursuit at the track cycling World Cup in Aguascalientes .

In 2004 and 2006, Forero won stages of the Vuelta a Colombia . In 2005 he was Colombian U23 road racing champion and in 2007 with Alzate, Jairo Pérez and Arles Castro Pan American team pursuit champion. In 2012 he won another stage of the Vuelta a Colombia. In 2013 he drove his last races with a contract with Colombia Coldeportes , but remained active until 2016.
