Judit Bognár

Judit Bognár (divorced Lendvay; born January 28, 1939 in Székesfehérvár ; † November 26, 2011 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian shot putter and discus thrower .

At the World Festival of Youth and Students in 1959, she won bronze in the shot put.

In 1962 she was eighth in the shot put and twelfth in the discus throw at the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade , and in 1963 she won silver in the shot put and bronze in the discus throw at the Universiade .

In the shot put she was eleventh at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and won bronze at the Universiade in 1965. In 1966 she was fifth at the European Indoor Games in Dortmund and ninth at the European Championships in Budapest . At the European Athletics Cup in 1967 in Kiev, she was third and fourth at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City and the European Indoor Games in Belgrade in 1969 .

At the EM in 1971 in Helsinki she was eighth in the shot put and was eliminated in the qualifying discus throw .

In the shot put, an eleventh place at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and an eighth place at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1974 in Gothenburg.

She was Hungarian champion in the shot put 13 times (1959, 1962–1968, 1970–1974) and twice in discus throw (1959, 1973). In 1974 she became Hungarian indoor champion in the shot put.
