Judith A. Reisman
Judith Ann Reisman (born April 11, 1935 in Newark , New Jersey as Judith Ann Gelernter ) is an American communications scientist and university professor. She is particularly known for her sharp criticism of the person and work of the sex researcher Alfred Charles Kinsey .
Scientific career
Reisman earned a master's degree in communications from Case Western Reserve University in 1976 and received his doctorate in this field in 1980 . After an assistant professorship at the University of Haifa (1981 to 1983), she held a research professorship at the American University from 1983 . In 1985 she left this college. In 1990 she temporarily held a private lectureship at George Mason University . Since 2011 she has been visiting professor at the School of Law of the Christian private school Liberty University .
Political commitment
Reisman is President of Restoring Social Virtue & Purity to America, founded in 1998 .
In her journalistic work, she prefers to write against pornography , homosexuality and gender politics and publishes in Christian fundamentalist magazines such as Salvo . One of her main goals is to delegitimize the work of the sex research pioneer Alfred Charles Kinsey by compromising the person of Kinsey. She accuses him of having been a pedophile and of having sexually abused children for scientific purposes, or of having instructed others to abuse them. According to Kinsey and the Kinsey Institute, the relevant data was not collected by the Institute. The data in Tables 31 to 34 came from a respondent who had had contact with prepubertal children since 1917 and kept credible records of them. Other information came from childhood memories of respondents, information from parents and a few other men who had sexual contact with children. John Bancroft of the Kinsey Institute calls Reisman's remarks about Kinsey a mixture of facts, altered facts, and misrepresentation. Reisman suspects that Kinsey's cause of death was fatal testicular inflammation, which he contracted as a "consequence of years of intense sadistic-orgiastic self-abuse", whereas the official cause of death was a heart condition and pneumonia.
