T-Seven (2014)

T-Seven (bourgeois Judith Buthmann, nee Hinkelmann; born October 26, 1976 in Bremen ) is a German singer and presenter who became known as one of the singers in the band Mr. President . She is also known by her stage name Judith Hildebrandt , under whom she moderates, among other things, her radio show Soundcheck at Energy Bremen .

Her stage name T-Seven results from her fondness for techno and 70s clothes.

Career

Judith Hinkelmann grew up dancing at a young age. She followed in the footsteps of her mother, a classical ballet dancer, and was admitted to the Royal Dance Academy ballet school at the age of five . She later learned Latin American and standard dances.

Hinkelmann achieved first successes at the age of 14 as a dancer in the techno project Satellite 1 of the DJs Jens Neumann and Kai Matthiesen , who produced the band. Together with the second dancer Daniela Haak and a rapper, the band performed in discos across Germany. The title Enterprise Techno was used as background music for the TV trailer for Raumschiff Enterprise on Sat.1 in 1991 , the follow-up single Young Indy became the theme music for the Sat.1 series The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones in 1992 .

After two years, the group was realigned and the girls got a new rapper (Sir Prophet), and the band was renamed Mr. President . T-Seven started taking singing lessons. After a sound check at Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega sang their vocal performance was so popular that it became the main voice of Mr. President. After the first chart success in 1994 Sir Prophet had to leave the project due to internal discrepancies and was replaced after a short time by the rapper Lazy Dee.

Together with Mr. President, she sold millions of records and received numerous awards and music prizes.

In June 1998 T-Seven graced the cover picture of the German playboy together with her bandmate Lady Danii .

After the album Space Gate , T-Seven left the band in February 2000 and started a solo career. In March 2000 she released the single Without you (I won't sleep tonight) in collaboration with Marvin Mc Kay . In March 2001 their first solo single Hey Mr. President was released , which was produced by Thomas Anders . In September 2001 the second solo single Passion followed and in 2003 the single Copa Cabana .

At IFA 2006 , T-Seven released a new interpretation of the song Let the Music Play with the music project Lunanova .

Since 2006 she has been working as a radio host at Energy Bremen. In 2011 she worked on an episode of The Perfect Celebrity Dinner .

Under the band project Judy & The Fish Town Cowboys , a country version of Scooters How Much Is the Fish? released. Since 2014 she has presented unplugged hits from the 90s as acoustic versions at her concerts.
