Judith Kasper

Judith Kasper (born May 4, 1970 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is a German literary scholar .

Life

She studied German and Romance languages in Nice , Göttingen and Freiburg im Breisgau . From 1999 to 2002 she was a DAAD - Lecturer at the University of Paris-Nanterre . After completing her doctorate in 2001 at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg , she was a lecturer at the University of Bologna from 2002 to 2003 . From 2004 to 2007 she worked at the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Verona , where she did her doctorate in philosophy. From 2009 to 2018 she was a research assistant at the Institute for Romance Philology at the University of Munich . After her habilitation in 2015, she became Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of Potsdam in Frankfurt am Main .

Her main areas of work are literary theory and aesthetics; Trauma theories and holocaust studies; Philology and psychoanalysis and poetry theory.
