The Youth Education Center Waldmünchen the district Upper Palatinate , the Catholic Workers Movement (KAB) and Young Christian Workers (CAJ) is one of the 13 youth training centers in Bavaria and is located in the city Waldmünchen in the district of Cham . As a youth hostel in Waldmünchen, it is affiliated with the German Youth Hostel Association (DJH). The Waldmünchen youth education center is located in historic walls on the Schlossberg in the center of the town of Waldmünchen in the Cham district, close to the border with the Czech Republic and right in the Upper Palatinate Forest .

Inaugurated in 1983 as the Waldmünchen youth center, the Waldmünchen youth education center has been hosting children , young people and young adults from all social and educational levels since 1988 as an officially recognized youth education center by the Bavarian Youth Association . Most of it is barrier-free for wheelchair users . The more than 160 beds in two, three, four and six-bed rooms suitable for young people, as well as the leader rooms, offer space for a wide variety of groups. Varied catering (vegetarian or without pork on request) and a historical ambience form the framework. There is a wide range of conference and seminar rooms, the auditorium with piano and stage lighting, a meditation room with sacristy, numerous media (HD and miniDV cameras, projectors, digital cameras, audio recorders, daylight projectors, etc.) and multimedia PCs with high-speed internet and area-wide W-LAN free of charge for guests. At the nearby Perlsee , the Waldmünchen youth education center operates the “International Team Training Parcours” (ITP) with 9 ground-level stations for training communication and cooperation in teams.
