Jukka Tiensuu
Jukka Tiensuu (born August 30, 1948 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish composer , harpsichordist , conductor and pianist .
Jukka Tiensuu received his musical training in Helsinki, Freiburg and New York. As an interpreter, he plays a broad repertoire from early music to avant-garde and free improvisation . Tiensuu gives concerts in most European countries, North America and Japan. He has also given master classes in baroque performance practice and in the interpretation of new music . Tiensuu has also worked at IRCAM , the Paris center for electro-acoustic music .
Jukka Tiensuus Works as a composer includes both pieces for large orchestra and electroacoustic music , chamber music and works for jazz band , early music - ensembles or for solo instruments, including. a. for the Finnish instrument Kantele .
