The Juktån is a river in the Swedish province of Västerbotten County .
It is the second largest tributary of the Ume älv after the Vindelälven . The river has its source west of the lake Överst-Juktan . It flows through this and further in a predominantly south-easterly direction through the following lakes Fjosoken and Storjuktan . The latter two lakes are runoff regulated. After 177 km, the Juktån coming from the north, near Åskilje, meets the Ume älv, which has been dammed up since 1962 to form the Rusfors hydroelectric dam. In the area of the reservoir, the lower 10 km of Juktån are also about from Gunnarn .
The Juktån is crossed by the European route 45 ( Europaväg 45 ) and the inland railway , each about halfway between Storuman and Sorsele .
