Gunnarn ( Umesamisch Viertá ) is a village ( småort ) in the municipality of Storuman in the Swedish province of Västerbotten County and the historic province of Lapland .

The main town of the same name, Storuman , is about 30 kilometers away. Halfway there, the village of Barsele is passed. Gunnarn has a train station on the Hällnäs – Storuman railway line , but there are no longer any passenger trains on this line. Storuman Airport is located in the municipality about five kilometers south of Gunnarn .

In 1732 Carl von Linné spent some time in Gunnarn. The place was called Bastuträsk until 1897  - not to be confused with the place Bastuträsk in the municipality of Norsjö - and with over 200 inhabitants it fell into the category of crime until 2005 .
