Jule undersann

Jule Unterspann (* 1972 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German singer and composer.

Live and act

Unterspann, who grew up in Elz (Westerwald) , studied jazz singing at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz until 1997 . She initially taught at the Frankfurt Music Workshop ; then she switched to the Nürnberg Musikhochschule as a main subject lecturer . At the same time she taught jazz singing at the music academies in Cologne and Saarbrücken until 2008. Today she lives in Brodowin .

In 2003, Unterspann presented her debut album with her own compositions, jazz standards and rarely played pieces such as "Celeste" by Ralph Towner or Jimmy Rowles ' "Peacocks". Between 2003 and 2007 she led the big band of the Limburg Jazz Club. A Christmas album was created in 2007 with pianist Walter L. Born. In 2008 she toured Vietnam and South Korea as a guest soloist with the Hessen State Youth Jazz Orchestra. In addition to chansons and idiosyncratic interpretations of folk songs, the concept album Liebesleben also contains own settings of texts by Hermann Löns and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry . In 2011 she toured with guitarist Bernhard Sperrfechter as the Jazz Canal . She is currently also performing with Johannes Kersthold .
