Art style
The author and gallery owner Gerhard Habarta ( Phantastenmuseum ) describes Hanzl's art in his book Saturday speeches with the words:
“If the Cosimo de Medici had known her, he would have invited her to work for him immediately. ... Julia Hanzl frees ceramics as plastic art from the hostage of kindergarten teachers, recreational modelers and teapot aesthetes (..) the sculptures are interior views of people, psychograms and dream images, in realistic plastic form, which are projected into the mind of the beholder. A new kind of old art "
Her ceramics and her sculptures combined with animal preparations are always unique. Hanzl produces some bronze items in small editions.
