Julia Irmen
Julia Irmen (born September 22, 1984 in Stralsund ) is a former German kickboxer . She is multiple kickboxing world champion in various associations.
Career
Julia Irmen grew up in Stralsund on the Baltic Sea. Her mother is a nurse and her father was a marine electronics engineer. After the fall of the Berlin Wall , she went to Dingolfing in Lower Bavaria with her two brothers and her mother . After secondary school , she enlisted in the armed forces . After completing basic training in Kempten, she was transferred to the Medical Academy in Munich . Subsequently, from 2004 in Deggendorf , she trained as a policewoman with the Federal Police . In the meantime she works for a mission team in Deggendorf. She has been married to her husband Stefan since 2008. In 2011 she became the mother of a son. She now lives with her family in Osterhofen .
Athletic career
Julia Irmen originally trained volleyball. After a shoulder injury in 2001, she looked for compensation and got into kickboxing. After many successes in amateur - kickboxing , she moved for a few years for amateur boxing . Here she became multiple German champion. However, after she missed the qualification for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, she got an offer from Mladen Steko to be trained by him. She accepted this with thanks. Since then she has fought regularly for the world championship title in professional kickboxing as part of the Steko's Fight Night . Their battle name was "The Cop". In April 2015 she announced her resignation until June 2015.
