Steko's Fight Night is the largest kickboxing martial arts event in Germany. The live broadcast of Sat.1 reaches an audience of millions. Official WKA world championship matches were held here until 2012 and ISKA and WKU world championship matches since 2012 .

history

Steko's Fight Night was founded in 1998 by Ivan Steko. His sons, the kickboxing world champions Mladen and Pavlica, later continued and expanded the event. Like his brother Mladen , Pavlica Steko was the German national coach of the WKA national kickboxing team for a long time . They now organize four to five martial arts events a year in the Steko's Fight Night series. These events have so far either been held as part of the official WKA World Championships (WKA WM 2011 in Karlsruhe) or they take place as independent events in large halls such as the Olympic ice rink in Munichinstead of. In the future these kickboxing events will also be held according to the regulations of the ISKA association. The halls with several thousand spectators are usually sold out. Summaries of the fights are then posted on Kabel1 and Sport1 . The Steko's Fight Night became known primarily through the live broadcasts of the world championship fights on SAT1 by Christine Theiss , Julia Irmen , Michael Smolik and Marie Lang .
