Julia Klotz (born January 9, 1980 in Mainz ) is a German singer , actress and musical artist .

biography

The Mainz native graduated from the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig . During her studies she could already be seen as Maria Magdalena in Jesus Christ Superstar and as "Hope Harcourt" in Anything Goes at the Nordhausen Theater. In December 2005 she won the German Stage Association's prize for the best performance of a musical scene at the National Singing Competition in Berlin .

Immediately after completing her studies, she was a member of the drama ensemble at the Heilbronn Theater for two years, where she worked in musicals as well as drama and operettas. She played as Josepha Vogelhuber in the white Rößl , as Gwendolen Fairfax in Oscar Wilde's Bunbury or in the title role of Sweet Charity . For the role of Norma Cassady in Victor / Victoria she was awarded the Kilian 2007 of the city of Heilbronn for the best female supporting role.

This was followed by engagements as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady at the Landestheater Linz , as Luise Meyer in the Swiss musical Heidi , in We Will Rock You at the SI-Centrum Stuttgart a. a. as Scaramouch, as Julia de Weerth in the operetta Der Vetter aus Dingsda at the Theater Heilbronn, as Eliza at the Theater Basel , as Sweet Charity at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden, as a soloist in Stefan Huber's and Michael Frei's premiere White! at the Heilbronn Theater and at the Dortmund Theater as Pam in Gil Mehmert's production All or not at all .

In the 2014 season she played Evita at the Staatstheater Kassel and was as Betty Schäfer in Sunset Boulevard at the Stadttheater Pforzheim , as Bianca in Kiss Me, Kate at the Staatstheater Hannover , as Inga in Frankenstein Junior at the Halle Opera and as Emma in Jekyll & Hyde to be seen at the Staatstheater Kassel.

In addition to her artistic studies, Julia Klotz also completed a vocal and music pedagogical diploma at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig and from 2011 to 2014 she trained as a CVT teacher at the Complete Vocal Institute in Copenhagen.
