review

“When the backbone of tradition is exposed, Julia Lacherstorfer begins to create a new folk music world. Surfaces are torn open, sounds created that fly elegantly like eagles in a nature film. Her style is characterized by the great appreciation she has for traditional music, as well as the deep roots in this and the great openness and curiosity that she brings for contemporary music trends. All of this, coupled with a tremendous joy in playing and energy, makes her one of the most distinctive faces of a new generation of folk musicians. "

"... She is one of the most distinctive faces of that new generation of folk musicians who naturally dock on to traditions of all directions without writing folk music with an x (DER STANDARD 2014)"
