Julian Knoll (born July 11, 1999 in Gotha ) is a German football goalkeeper .

Career

Knoll first played for FSV 06 Ohratal before moving to the offspring of FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt in 2012 . From 2016 he played in the U19 of the club and trained for the first time with the professionals of the 1st team.

On matchday 21 of the 2017/18 season he made his debut for the first team in the third professional league in a 3-1 win against 1. FC Magdeburg due to a yellow card suspension from regular goalkeeper Philipp Klewin and showed a good performance . Although Klewin was ready for action again in the following game, Knoll was again given preference. However, he injured himself during the warm-up right before the game and was out for the rest of the season.

After the Erfurt team was relegated to the Northeast Regionalliga , Knoll signed a new professional contract with the Thuringians. With the withdrawal of the 1st team in January 2020, Knoll moved to the upper division Inter Leipzig .
