Julian Westermann (born April 19, 1991 in Münster ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Julian Westermann grew up in Everswinkel near Münster in Westphalia. He also started playing football at home with SC DJK in 1995. With the U-13 district selection Münster-Warendorf he became Westphalia champion and then moved to SC Preußen Münster at the age of 13 . There he played in the further youth team. He belonged with the B-youth of the junior federal league West, with the A-youth he rose in 2009 to the top division and played there the following year. In the 2009/10 season he also wore the captain's armband for the junior team.

In his last year of youth, the versatile player, who can be used defensively and offensively in defense and midfield, got his first appearance in the first team in the Regionalliga West towards the end of the season . The following year he started three times in a row on the grid. After that, however, he was almost always irregular as a substitute for short appearances. Nevertheless, he rose to the 3rd division with the Münster team in 2011 . There he had his first brief appearance in professional football on the 3rd matchday of the 2011/12 season in the 1-0 win against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the final minutes. Three more third division games were added by the end of the season.

For the 2012/13 season he moved to the regional league at Sportfreunde Lotte . Julian Westermann has been without a club since July 1, 2013.
