Julija Derkach ( Ukrainian Юлія Деркач ); * June 22, 1986 in Bilowodsk , Luhansk Oblast , Ukrainian SSR is an Azerbaijani weightlifter of Ukrainian origin.
Derkatsch started her career for Ukraine at the beginning of her career. In 2001 she became Ukrainian weightlifting champion in Mukachevo . She was European Youth Champion in 2003 and Vice European Junior Champion in 2006. Among the active, she reached seventh place in the duel at the 2007 European Championships in the class up to 53 kg and won the bronze medal in the snatch. At the European Championships in 2008 , she was eighth. In 2009 she was fifth at the European Championships , now in the class up to 58 kg.
She also came in fifth at the 2010 European Championships . In 2011 she won bronze again in the snatch at the European Championships , but had no valid attempt in pushing. Then Derkatsch competed for Azerbaijan and achieved fifth place in the class up to 53 kg (1st place in the snatch) at Universiade 2013 . Shortly afterwards, however, she was tested positive for dehydrochloromethyltestosterone during a training control and was banned for two years.
