Julija Wiktorowna Rostowzewa , previously Julija Dykanjuk ( Russian Юлия Викторовна Ростовцева , born Дыканюк ; * July 24, 1972 , † November 1, 2007 in Krasnoyarsk ) was a Russian biathlete .

Julija Rostowzewa began under her maiden name Dykanjuk with the biathlon at the age of thirteen in order to stabilize her fragile health and as a balance to her musical education. In the 1997/98 season she was the overall European Cup winner in biathlon ahead of Steffi Kindt and Janet Klein . In 1998 she also won the Russian championship. Because of these successes, she was awarded the title of Master of Sports of the International Class .

In 2000 she married the biathlete Pavel Rostovtsev , whom she met in 1994. Their first son was born in 2000. In 2006 their second son followed. In 2003, Rostovtseva and her husband Pavel completed their correspondence course at the Vladimir Legal Institute of the Ministry of Interior of Russia, before that she had already completed a music degree. Rostovtseva died on November 1, 2007 at the age of 35 in her hometown of Krasnoyarsk of cancer.
